Creator Tables
Creators can range from comic artist to sculpture art to quilt makers, there is no limit to what you can sell as long as everything fits on or under your table and is not a massive distraction from the other artists and guests. Distraction can be qualified as anything that is very loud, huge booming speakers or displays that scream every ten seconds. Something that is messy or gross, an art piece dripping syrup on the floor or a water exhibit that splashes everyone walking next to it, that would be a massive distraction. Just make sure your art is contained in your space and everything should be groovy.
Creator tables are $20 for a half table. You get 4 feet and two chairs plus great company and access to the hospitality suite. That means free food and drinks all day. Email us to reserve your table today, novacon2008@gmail.com.

Novacon Poetry Jam!
The Poetry Jam will be a one hour event during the convention in which artists perform their best poetry rap.
On Nov. 1st the Novacon, Lubbock's only art convention, is coming to town. It will be held at the Garden and Arts Center on 44th Street and University Avenue in Clapp Park.
A few guidelines...
Poems must take less than five minutes to perform. Any props needed for the performance must be provided by the poet. You must perform for the Poetry Jam. This is not a simple poetry reading. Say it with feeling, use body language and motion to get your idea across. Poets who are unable to do this may be better suited for other venues.
How to enter
To enter the Poetry Jam, e-mail a video of your performance to bakkacreative@gmail.com by Oct. 25. Video formats must be compatible with Windows Media Player. Poets who are accepted to read in the Poetry Jam will be notified by Oct. 27 and will be asked to attend a "dress rehearsal" at the GAC on Oct. 29th. We will try to contact all poets who submit their work.
